Nerf Mega Cycloneshock
Nerf Mega Cycloneshock.
I know what you’re thinking. “Did he fire six shots or only five?” Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a Nerf MEGA CycloneShock, the most powerful Nerf blaster sidearm in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself a question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya punk? — Dirty Nerfy
First there was the Nerf Maverick, then the Nerf Elite Strongarm. Now? Now we have the Nerf Mega CycloneShock. The classic Maverick set the bar for six-shot revolver blasters. Then came the Nerf Elite Strongarm, with it’s Slam-Fire and Elite firing ranges. Now, we have the best of both worlds. Allow me to introduce the Nerf Mega CycloneShock Blaster.
The New Trusty Sidearm Blaster.
The Nerf Mega Cycloneshock is the latest release in the Nerf Mega line of blasters. The previous Nerf Mega blasters include the Nerf Mega Centurion and the Nerf Mega Magnus. The Centurion, while a good looking blaster, suffered horribly in the performance category. The Mega Magnus was a great sidearm, but lacked the storage capacity to make it a real contender. You can check out my review of the Magnus and my review of the Centurion if you like. The Nerf Mega Cyclone is a great looking and great functioning blaster. It fires far, fast and smoothly. It’s ranges definitely approach 90 feet. Like it’s six-shooting predecessors, the CycloneShock is a revolver type pistol with a six Mega dart capacity. It is big and beautiful. It really has a solid feel to it, too. The Strongarm looked long and thin and that’s one thing that I didn’t like about it. The Cyclone has definitely bulked up. It is thicker and more solid. Even though it’s bigger and longer, it reminds me more of the Nerf Maverick. I love the look of the Cyclone. It just has a really great feel to it when it’s in your hands. It has a great feeling grip and I like the look of the handguard. The Nerf Mega CycloneShock has a fairly smooth priming motion for the slide. I believe the Nerf Mega CycloneShock is the new Nerf Mega champion. But, like every champ, it is not without its’ weaknesses. The cylinder does not drop out to the side for quick reloading. Also, there is no Slam-Fire. With no side loading, it will take an extra couple of seconds to load the huge Nerf Mega darts. It’s not a deal breaker, but I can’t help but wonder why they chose to leave that feature out. With the Slam-Fire, it’s not a big deal. No Nerf Mega blaster features Slam-Fire, yet. And the Cyclone shoots plenty fast even without that feature.
Welcome to The New School.
This is it. This is the pinnacle of Nerf Mega blasters. It reigns supreme. I hate to say it, but there is no need to consider the Nerf Mega Magnus anymore, unless you really love the look of it. (It’s cheap enough, so why not?) If you’re only getting one blaster, though, it should be the Cycloneshock. If you don’t mind the Nerf Mega darts, I might even suggest this over the Strongarm blaster. It takes the Maverick and Strongarm and smashes them together in a big red Mega mash up. The Nerf N-Strike Elite Mega Cycloneshock comes with itself and six Nerf Mega darts. What does that mean? Clearly you’re going to want to stock up on more darts. Otherwise you’re good to go with the best new Nerf Mega blaster on the market. Find the Nerf Mega CycloneShock on Amazon.com.
