Am I The Only One Zen Around Here?

Norman Reedus as The Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon with a Nerf Zombie Strike Crossfire Bow!

The Nerf Zombie Strike Crossfire Bow achieves the same level of performance of all the other elite N-Strike blasters. The ranges hit 55+ feet, which has become a general standard at this point. That makes for pretty good power as well. It features a spot to attach stocks on the back and it has a tactical rail up top. Attaching a shoulder stock makes it look even more like a bow Daryl Dixon would use. For attachments, I don’t know what I’d use. It already comes with a pretty good iron sight. Since it doesn’t use clips, maybe I’d attach some type of dart holder. But that’s it. It is front loaded and only fits four darts into its chambers at a time. We can go over the technical aspects of this blaster all day, but should we? nerf zombie strike crossfire bowWith so many of the better Nerf blasters reaching the same level of performance, we have to focus on other details. Details which usually include the overall design and form factor, which in this case is quite great. The Nerf Zombie Strike Crossfire Bow looks like someone took the Nerf Rough Cut and actually cut it in half the long way. Then they threw a crossbow Nerf gun attachment on the front. But it works. This gun has the look and feel of a real crossbow and you’ll be well set to dispatch a Walker (or four) with ease. To fire the bow, first load 4 darts into the front of the bow. Then pull back the orange priming handle that’s attached to the bow string and arms. This is what they mean by “real crossbow action.” Although you should know the bow arms aren’t really required to make this blaster work. The next step in shooting this crossbow is quite obvious.: Just pull the trigger.

 Getting The Job Done

The Nerf Zombie Strike Crossfire Bow is only a good gun. However, it is a great looking gun. If you love the look, I can wholeheartedly recommend this weapon to  you. If you like crossbows, I Can recommend this. If you like TWD, I can recommend this. Heck, even if you just like green, I could probably recommend this. On the other hand, if you don’t think the look is noteworthy, there are alternative blasters. There are Nerf bows or blasters in the same price range or cheaper that perform equally as well or better. If you do pick it up, you should grab some extra darts, as with any Nerf blaster purchase. Also, there’s a fun little set of targets, the Nerf Zombie Strike Target Set, that I think would go well with this bow. And that’s all she wrote.

Live and Breathe NERF! I started this site after I became a dad - to learn about all of the new blasters and review and catalogue them - because I wanted to share one of my favorite childhood pastimes with my son -- and now, I fell back in love with the hobby! It's Nerf or Nothing!
