Nerf hit the ground running with their first Nerf Rival release of 2023. The Nerf Rival Forerunner continues the trend of solid blasters in the Accu-Rival line. This series of Nerf guns is part of the "Most Accurate Rival System" or MARS, as I call it. The Nerf MARS line of blasters is supposed to be more accurate than anything before it... This is akin to the Nerf Elite AccuStrike line of Nerf guns. The Forerunner follows in the footsteps of the excellent Nerf blasters before it, like the Nerf Rival Pathfinder and the Nerf Rival Fate. It's also highly reminiscent of the Nerf Rival Takedown from a few years ago, but with a standard pistol grip instead of the sloped shotgun grip the Takedown has.
The Nerf Rival Mirage is the springer little brother of the Challenger flywheel blaster. It's only little in size, though, as it also boasts a similarly high muzzle velocity (95+FPS). The Mirage is just that good and it's not an illusion.
This off-brand Nerf gun is a UMP45 lookalike, sure. But it's also a high performance, spring powered, mag fed dart gun with a pump action grip. It includes a 15 dart magazine, abs flip sights, optic attachment, and 100 custom foam darts.
