A Scar barrel works by using string or nylon to put a spin on the Nerf darts as they're leaving the barrel, like rifling does in a real firearm barrel. This has been shown to consistently improve accuracy in Nerf guns. The Scarpressor has also got an internal sound dampening scouring pad to reduce the noise and make for quieter shots.
